Happy Monday, friends! I’m curled up under my heated blanket, where you will most likely find me for the rest of the year 😉 I co-worked with some other friends in the wedding industry today (The Jacksons!) and it was so fun to sit around by the fire, talk and encourage one another in our businesses, and together answer all of our endless emails! It’s always fun doing this stuff together. Doing life together.
Tonight I’m excited to share Sean & Kayla’s wedding day with you! These two are truly a couple that was more excited to share in the joy of marriage than any other aspect of their day. They did the long distance thing for a while (never any fun) and couldn’t wait for their wedding day, so that Kayla could move in with Sean and they could start their real life together.
Kayla was one of the most laid-back brides we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. All of her design ideas were very simple, and that was ok with us because she was such a joy-filed soul, that nothing else seemed to matter. Sean & Kayla booked their day at Everal Barn. and focused their day on field games for the guests, iced tea and lemonade, and spending time with one another hanging out and listening to a killer folk band. At one point, her grandpa even jumped in and serenaded the guests by playing the guitar and singing. It was so sweet to watch Sean & Kayla embrace as he sang to everyone.
Look at them! I loved their joy.
This was absolutely my favorite part of the day. Not only did he play and sing, but he was GOOD at it, too. A highlight of my summer.
Congrats, Sean & Kayla! We treasured the time we got to spend with you, both in planning your day, and the wedding day itself. You reminded us of where our true Joy is found. We love you!
